A brief story about the company logo for Carlyle Business Services. Those from Oklahoma City would no doubt remember the iconic Carlyle Motel sign on Route 66 (aka 39th Street), which had been there since 1958. I always loved it as a kid. In early 2013, it was torn down and they auctioned off pieces of the board on eBay. I decided to revamp our company logo/letterhead/business cards by paying homage to the iconic sign, and thus our new “vintage” image was born.
